WHAT TO EXCEPT…

Remodeling is exciting — but it can get overwhelming fast. That’s where I come in. As your design advocate + project navigator, I bring clarity, creativity, and organization to every step, so you can skip the stress and enjoy the transformation.

Working together is all about collaboration and trust. I simplify decisions, keep the details on track, and make sure your remodel feels intentional and cohesive.

With professional design support, you can expect:

  • A layout that’s functional and optimized.

  • Decisions made efficiently and confidently.

  • Contractors and vendors with clear, accurate direction.

  • A finished home that feels timeless, cohesive, and uniquely yours.

1 / DISCOVERY (1–2 wks.)

We kick things off by getting to know you — your vision, lifestyle, and what you really want from your home. Once I’ve reviewed your design homework, we’ll meet (in person or virtually) to talk priorities, style direction, and functionality.

From there, I’ll put together a custom scope of work and design agreement that gives us structure, but also flexibility as your project takes shape. It’s our roadmap for the journey ahead.

2 / SPACE PLANNING & CONCEPT DESIGN (2–6 wks.)

Every great remodel starts with the layout — flow and function come first, making sure your space works for your life. We will get on-site to document existing site conditions — measuring, photographing, and taking note of what’s already there. Once layouts and cabinet elevations are dialed in, I’ll start pulling contractor bids and vendor pricing. To keep budgets realistic, I’ll recommend smart allowances for finishes and fixtures so your vision and investment stay aligned. Then the fun part: concept boards. Together we’ll define your overall vision, color palette and desired materiality. By the end of this phase, you’ll have both a functional foundation and a financial framework — plus an inspiring creative direction that sets the tone for the entire project.

3 / DESIGN DEVELOPMENT (6–12 wks.)

This is where ideas get real. We take the approved concept and translate it into detailed floor plans, cabinet elevations, and custom drawings. Selections are curated across cabinetry, counters, tile, plumbing, lighting, hardware, textiles, and furnishings. If needed, we’ll create 2D or 3D renderings so you can see exactly how it will all come together. It all wraps up in a curated design presentation where you get to review, give feedback, and sign off before we move forward.

4 / DOCUMENTATION & PROCUREMENT (12 - 16 wks.)

Design approved? Time to make it actionable. We prepare final construction drawings, schedules, and specifications that give contractors and trades everything they need to execute your project.

Meanwhile, I coordinate with vendors and trusted partners to confirm lead times, gather quotes, refine budgets, and start purchasing.

5 / PROJECT MANAGEMENT (throughout construction)

During construction, I act as your design advocate on-site. Through regular site visits and communication with your contractor, I ensure the design intent is carried through seamlessly.

If challenges come up (and they always do), I problem-solve in real time. My goal? To keep everything running smoothly, protect the design intent, and make sure you feel supported the whole way through.

6 / INSTALLATION & STYLING

This is available s an optional add-on depending on your project scope.

Once construction is done, I coordinate deliveries, place furniture, and dial in the details — furnishings, artwork, textiles, lighting, accessories.

This is where your house stops looking like a project and starts feeling like home.

7 / PROJECT CLOSE OUT

We finish with a final walk-through to address any outstanding details and confirm everything meets the design intent.

You’ll also receive a digital project binder with care instructions, paint colors, and vendor contacts for future reference. Finally, we wrap with professional photography, celebrating your transformed space and capturing it in its best light.
